Marcus White is glad to be playing in this game, in front of the hometown crowd, and then continue his basketball career just up the street at DePaul. Chicago hoops fans are in for a treat. When asked why he chose to stay home and play for Pat Kennedy, his answer was simple, ?I really, really like Chicago and I was born and raised here.? He adds, ?I?ve got a family here and I would like to stay around them.?

This season Marcus averaged 29.6 points, 17.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3.4 steals and 4.7 blocks per game. He shot 67% from the field and 86% from the foul line. In addition to being selected as an EA SPORTS All-American, Marcus received All-State honors two years in a row and is the Proviso West MVP. He is Whitney Young?s all-time leading rebounder and all-time leading scorer.
